The Talented Goldilocks

Do you ever find something just too hot, or just too cold or are you consistently searching for what is just right?

When we focus on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors – aka talents, do we consider that perhaps when one is not aligned it may never be just right?

Therefore, if according to the Clifton StrengthsFinder a Talent is considered a natural pattern of thought emotion and behavior, is it possible Goldilocks was in search of a chair, a bowl of porridge and a bed to be aligned with her thoughts, emotions, and behaviors?

Why was the mama bear and papa bear chair, bed and porridge either too hard, soft, hot or cold? Yet baby bears just right?

Possibly a baby bear, or our innate patterns of thought, emotion and behavior are more aligned as a child between the ages of 5-7. At a time innocence is upheld. Where our talents are not scarred by society. By the belief, we must focus on whats too hard, or too easy. Or complain that hot or cold is wrong, or weak or broken.

When we apply skills and knowledge to our talents we develop strengths, we develop metaphorical golden unbreakable locks. However, when we apply negativity, weakness and suppression to our natural talents, what do we discover?

Perhaps it’s time to focus on your strengths.
