Superheroes with Superpowers

Superheroes may wear lycra, a mask and possibly a cape. They may be afraid of little green rocks or clowns or even showing their true identity.

But why are so many of them orphans?

Is there a plot behind Marvel’s logic, or is there the suggestion that with great power comes great responsibility?

The responsibility of not having parents or not growing up in a normal/regular family. And that term is used very lightly.
