How Important is Sharing the Strengths Movement?

Focus On Your Strengths – How to Develop Talents into Strengths – Coming 2017. Today, we investigate just how important the ‘Sharing the Strengths’ movement has become on social media.

Let’s have a look at FaceBook aka the “validation station”. FaceBook uses algorithms to ‘feed’ content to a users feed. We as coaches, clients and friends have the many options to follow their recommendations.

We can either scroll past.

Notice an eye catching image and move on.

Or we could read the initial post and stop at the ‘read more’ section and move on.

Perhaps we may click and read more, even the entire post.

Some may press the infamous ‘like’ button, or even an emoticon to show how they feel. To which the author may receive a little warm and fuzzy, aka validation.

Yet when you leave a comment you offer your opinion, thanks or even a smart ass remark. This shares your view with the author, other readers, and commenters. But is this the best option for coaches and lovers of the strengths movement to assist in growing the movement?

How about the most empowering button, the “Share” button. When you share someone else’s post you’re often telling the author you think their content is so valuable it’s worth sharing with people you know. As you’re also sharing this content with your community you’re actually giving the initial author credibility for what they have written. And you’re promoting that author or coach as someone you trust and admire. This in turns builds trust within your community as well as giving you credit for sharing such valuable content.

So the question remains how much do you want to share the strengths movement? Would you care to share your thoughts? As you read this post, how many people have liked it, how many have commented and how many have actually read this far and can see the value in “sharing” it?

We’ll have you? LOL

So would you like to know how we (34 strengths coaches from all over the world) are attempting to share the strengths movement as far and wide as possible?

We’ve all come together to develop an online Udemy course for everyone to Focus On Your Strengths – How to Develop Talents into Strengths. We launch in mid-January 2017.
